Whipple Procedure for Pancreatic Cancer

Pancreatic Cancer is one of the common cancers having poorest prognosis because most of the time it grows and spreads long before it start showing symptoms. The chance of survival in Pancreatic Cancer is very low. However, Whipples procedure, which is a complex surgery may extend life of patient & has possibility of curing the pancreatic /periampullary cancer as well. The chance of survival of Pancreatic Cancer patients varies depending upon the site and the stage of tumor but the patient survival definetly increases through whipple procedure .
